Learn About the Seven Chakras

The word “chakra” has the Sanskrit definition of wheel, disc, or vortex. Imagine your Chakras as swirling energy centers in the body that have powerful physiological, psychological, and spiritual influence. These seven swirling energy systems are located from the top of your head to the base of your spine.

Chakras at the physiological level coexist with the energies of the organs in their proximity. Each chakra influences the health and function of these organs.  Not only does the equilibrium of the chakras correlate with organ health, blockages and imbalances have been shown to precede the onset of disease.  Clearing and balancing the chakras is significantly important, for it can cease oncoming illness and assist in the healing of any preexisting physical symptoms. Meditation for Clearing and Opening your Chakras

Sit or lie down comfortably, making sure your spine is straight. Take three deep breaths, in through your nose and out through your mouth. Imagine a chord running from the base of your spine to the center of the earth. Focus on the rise and fall of your stomach or chest with your breath.

Bring your attention to the Chakra you would like to open and clear. Imagine a lotus flower the color of the chakra. Picture a white healing light opening up the lotus flower. See it starting to spin clockwise. Watch as pedals fall off of the flower that represent blockages in the Chakra. Visualize the color of the chakra expanding outside of your body as this white healing light penetrates it. Place the palm of your hand 4 inches away from the chakra and begin to move your hand clockwise. You are beginning to assist the miracle healing energy in clearing your chakra. You may start to feel tingling in the palm of your hand as your chakra opens with each rotation.

After you have cleared and opened your chakra, take several deep breaths and come back to the present moment.
